Nathaniel Gurien
2022 Candidate for State Rep | Carroll County District Two
NH Cannabis Party
Nathaniel and his wife Diane moved to the Mt Washington Valley in 2003 and lived first in Bartlett then on Hurricane Mtn Rd in Kearsarge until 2013, returning to the New York/New Jersey area needing to move closer to support their aging parents. They returned to Carroll County in 2020 purchasing their new home in Sandwich in the intervale of Mt Whiteface.
During his original tenure in the Valley, Nathaniel was active in local politics, and played instrumental roles in the winning campaigns of both Republican and Democratic candidates. Nathaniel & Diane also owned and operated a successful home theater and consumer electronics retailer called Mt Washington Valley Audio Video across from the Intervale Scenic Vista in North Conway. Both were also frequent contributors to the Conway Daily Sun editorial and letters sections.
While out-of-state, in 2015 Nathaniel was introduced to the budding cannabis industry and soon found a professional home in the essential field of cannabis-friendly banking and financial services. His company Fincann is now an established national leader and subject matter expert consulted by banks, financial service providers and industry operators across all sectors.
He also followed with great interest the progress (or lack thereof) toward commercial cannabis legalization in the Granite State being made by local activists, and decided if the matter was not reasonably settled by the time he again resided in-state, he would take up the cause with dedication and a strong sense of purpose.
Nathaniel is an independent candidate for state rep from Carroll County District 2 running under the line: “NH Cannabis Party” to encourage common sense and exemplary cannabis legalization for New Hampshire, and also to return our politics to common sense and a sense of common purpose for us all.
